Midtown Global Market will host the 3rd annual “Shred the Love” event on Saturday, February 12 from noon to 2 p.m.
Members of the lovelorn public are invited to bring in old love letters, photographs, teddy bears, clothing, and other sentimental items that hold memories of an ex-love.
At the event, there will be therapeutic devices such as paper shredders, large scissors to de-stuff the teddy bears, and other ways to help give closure to a love lost…and give participants a fresh start for Valentine’s Day.
Those who bring an item to shred will have the chance to register-to-win great prizes, including gift certificates to Midtown Global Market stores and restaurants, and a free night stay at the Sheraton Minneapolis Midtown Hotel.
MGM vendors will offer “anti-Valentine’s” specials throughout the day, including broken heart cookies from the Salty Tart, “Skewered Love” kabobs from Holy Land Deli, and “(What a) Jerk Chicken” from West Indies Soul Food.
