BURNSVILLE, MINN., (January 20, 2010) – Let the race begin! The Thirteenth Annual SUBWAY® BEDRACE FOR BRIDGING presented by Cities 97 takes off down Buck Hill, Saturday, March 5, 2011, at 5:00 p.m. Teams of four are invited to race down the tubing hill atop specially covered, authentic, queen-sized bed mattresses (provided at the race).

Early registration per team of four is $130 by February 1; advanced registration is $160 by March 3; or $175 at Buck Hill on race day. Call 952-278-3112 or visit SubwayBedrace.org for more information.

Participants are encouraged to collect pledges. One hundred percent of registration fees and fundraising efforts benefit Bridging, a Bloomington-based non-profit organization that supports over 5,000 families transitioning out of homelessness and poverty every year. By providing furniture and household goods to families in need, Bridging gives hope to thousands of people for a brighter future filled with new beginnings. For more information about Bridging visit Bridging.org.

Participants must be at least 18-years-old. Teams are encouraged to dress creatively and compete in the Cities 97 Costume Contest.

Come for the race and stay for the after-race concert presented by Cities 97. Prizes will be awarded to top teams in the Subway Bedrace, Cities 97 Costume Contest, and “Bucks for Bridging” fundraising efforts. For a complete list of contests and prizes, visit SubwayBedrace.org.
