Forth Annual Bubba Gump’s Re-Building Block Party to benefit Rebuilding Together Twin Cities
Bloomington, Minn. (January 2010) – For those who loved to play with building blocks as a kid, the chance to reclaim part of childhood and help a worthy cause is now available. Rebuilding Together Twin Cities and the Bubba Gump Shrimp Co. Restaurant & Market at Mall of America are seeking teams of up to eight people to join the fun at the Fourth Annual Bubba Gump’s Re-Building Block Party, February 27, 2010, from 1:30-5 p.m., in the Best Buy Rotunda at Mall of America.
The registration fee is $500 per team. All money raised at the event goes directly to Rebuilding Together Twin Cities. Prizes will be awarded in several categories, including Forrest’s Favorite (Best of Show), Most Creative, Best Use of Props, Most Team Spirit, and more. Plus new this year is a Costume Contest, come with a plan and dress the part to win special prizes. The Team Registration Form can be downloaded from www.rebuildingtogether-twincities.org.
Teams can be gathered from groups of co-workers, professional associates, places of worship, classmates, or friends.
Rebuilding Together Twin Cities’ (RTTC) mission is to preserve and revitalize houses and communities, assuring that low-income homeowners – particularly the elderly and disabled and families with children – live in warmth, safety, and independence. An affiliate of the national Rebuilding Together organization, Rebuilding Together Twin Cities has been preserving and revitalizing homes and communities in the metropolitan area since 1997. Programs provide opportunities for community involvement and support for community volunteers. Bubba Gump Shrimp Co. Restaurant and Market at Mall of America was chosen by the Bloomington Convention and Visitors Bureau (BCVB) and the Bloomington Advisory Board of Health as the 2005 Overall Food Safety Award and the 2005 and 2007 Food Safety winner in the “Full Service Restaurant” category.
